We don’t feel Christian music needs to be explicitly worship or praise based. What is required is an honest outpouring of one’s soul. When MusicTorch considers an artist’s purpose, we look for this abundance of expression. We should accept the Christian artist who is willing to disclose the cries of his or her heart. A Christian artist should be allowed to tell their whole story, not just their prayers but also every facet of their life.
